VIENNA – The basket of crude oil used as a benchmark indicator by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries dropped to $48.22, the OPEC Secretariat said on Tuesday.
OPEC said the price of its basket, which includes 14 varieties of crude, decreased by $0.41 on Monday, compared with the closing price of the previous session.
The December delivery of Brent crude opened at $51.78 per barrel at the start of Tuesday trading on the futures market, a 0.48 percent increase since the previous session’s close.
