BOGOTA – At least two people died Sunday in a mudslide in a rural portion of Colombia’s northwestern Antioquia province, the government’s Dapard disaster prevention and recovery department said.
The landslide occurred in the town of Guatape and emergency rescue officials there rescued seven people, according to what Dapard said on its Twitter account.
At present, authorities have provided no further data about the landslide which, apparently, was caused by heavy rains that have fallen in the region in recent days.
