Yemeni President Reshuffles Cabinet

SANA’A – Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi reshuffled on Tuesday the cabinet of premier Khaled Bahah, including the appointment of new ministers of interior, foreign affairs and information, among others, according to the Yemeni news agency SABA.

Hadi, who provisionally resides in Yemen’s southern city of Aden, has issued presidential decrees to appoint Abdel Malek al-Majlafi as deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs to replace Riyadh Yasin, who was appointed an ambassador.

Gen. Mohamed Hussein Arab has also been appointed as deputy prime minister and minister of the interior to replace General Abdo al-Hazifi, who has been appointed as head of the secret services.

SABA added that the Yemeni president has appointed Abdelmagid Qabati as minister of information, Mohamed Abdelaziz Jabari as deputy prime minister and head of the civil service, and Salah al-Shanfara as minister of transport.

The new ministers will perform their duties from Aden.
