BUENOS AIRES – Argentina’s Palace of Justice, which houses the Supreme Court, was evacuated early Thursday following a bomb threat, authorities said. They said the threat came in the form of an anonymous telephone call. Once the building was empty, members of the Federal Police Explosives Brigade began a thorough inspection of the Palace, where the Supreme Court and other federal tribunals sit. The police found nothing suspicious and the staff and members of the public were allowed to re-enter the monumental structure. Parts of the Argentine Senate were evacuated on Tuesday in response to a bomb threat that also turned out to be false. |
