Three Arrested for Opening Fire at Concert in Mexico

MEXICO CITY – Three men were arrested for opening fire and killing one person at a concert over the weekend in northern Mexico after the singer flirted with a woman in the audience, angering her boyfriend and his two friends, state prosecutors said.

The shooting occurred at a performance by regional artist Alfredo Olivas, who was one of four people wounded in the incident, the Chihuahua Attorney General’s Office said.

The suspects, identified as Luis Octavio Guirado, 21, Luis Fernando Ramirez, 20, and Javier Adrian Ramirez, 21, opened fire on Friday night at the La Hacienda party hall in the city of Parral, the AG’s office said.

The three suspects fled from the shooting scene in an SUV, but state police caught and arrested them, the AG’s office said.
