OPEC Crude Basket Rises to $95.68

VIENNA – The basket of crude oil of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) rose slightly at the end of last week’s trading, to reach $95.68 a barrel, according to the OPEC General Secretariat in Vienna on Monday.

OPEC said that the price of its basket, which includes 12 varieties of crude, increased by $0.33, compared to the end of the previous session.

In spite of the increase, the OPEC basket continues recording its lowest level since mid-April 2013, when it reached $95.56, according to OPEC records.

October delivery Brent crude has recorded $96.52 a barrel at the start of trading on Monday in the futures market, an increase of 0.60 percent compared to the close of the previous session.
