MEXICO CITY – Four people were killed and four others wounded Friday when armed men burst into a home in the northern city of Durango and started shooting, Mexican authorities said.
The attack took place at 6:10 a.m., the Durango state Attorney General’s Office said.
People had gathered at the home in the city’s Lazaro Cardenas neighborhood for an overnight party.
The assailants fled after the shooting.
All of the casualties were male residents of Durango city, the state capital, who range in age from 19 to 40.
The wounded survivors “are receiving medical attention,” while the DEI investigative agency launched a search for the perpetrators, the state AG’s office said.
