MIAMI – Venezuelan actress and former Miss Universe Alicia Machado is singing again and her new single, “Incomprendida,” goes on sale Dec. 6, a tie-in with her 37th birthday.
Machado announced the launch of her song and said the place to buy it is on her official Web site.
In 2005 Machado published the disc “El Pais de las Maravillas,” and four years later “Si Se Acabara el Mundo.”
The ex-Miss Universe, who studied at the Music Conservatory of her native Venezuela, collaborated with producer Jose Miguel Velazquez on “Incomprendida,” written by Diego de Pietri.
Crowned Miss Universe in 1996, Machado debuted a year later in telenovelas with the series “Samantha,” continuing her acting career later in movies and theater.
Her latest work on television is “La Madame,” a telenovela that premiered in August on the UniMas channel and in which she plays Madame Rochy, who runs a Colombian brothel where the most ravishing of women seduce the country’s most powerful politicians with their beauty and charm.
